This was my first FireDrums, and certainly not my last. *sigh* I'm sad its over.

What an amazing surge of flow that just entered my body this weekend. I feel an amazing supply of inspiration from the workshops and performances I saw. Entering the circle for the first time on Friday night was a very powerful and humbling experience.

Heck, the process of arriving to Firedrums was a humbling experience. To escape the sirens, and trains, and tall buildings, and concrete, for a couple days and find community in flow was like being the new kid arriving at Hogwarts.

Zan, AlienJon, and MikeICON, and Yuta: It was a pleasure taking your workshops!

Thank you... a few days in the forrest was exactly what I needed. After driving back through the night and coming into work a little hippied out and totally sleep deprived; I am staring at my computer screen still lost in the beauty that I found myself surrounded by at FireDrums. Every person I had the pleasure of speaking to was amazing, each in their own regard. The knowlege that I picked up in the forest will remain with me for the rest of my days. Thank you also to the people who patched up my hand on Saturday night. Thanks to the staff who worked their bootays off so that we could frolick and romp in the trees.
Thanks to the drummers who were all totally cool and willing to offer advice and friendship, Paul 1, Paul 2, Steve, Dub, Reid.. etc.. etc..
There's just too much to be thankful for. I am very grateful.

I'd like to also add in a HUGE thanks to Hannah, who i don;t think i met but seemed to have supplied the kitchen with plates/cups/etc. Thanks Hannah :)

It was really the most relaxed and happy little bit of 'rangerin' I've had the opportunity to do. I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

I may need a weekend to recover from my weekend, but still.

I think Memory said it best in passing when she said, 'You know, this is better than Burningman for me'. Too true, so many of my favorite people in one place, and then having the pleasure of adding to that list many times over. Thanks everyone, and many thanks to those who organized this, I'll be decompressing for weeks to come.

There's no greater gift than the transmission of the product of intense personal exploration, and I cannot express enough gratitude to all those who gave workshops for this event. My mental boundaries have been blown open so many times over the weekend that I don't know where they lie anymore -- and it feels great!
