As I've done for every past Fire Drums other than the very first one, I'll be out taking photos at Fire Drums 2009. You can see the results from past years on the Fire Drums website or at naturalturn.fotki.com/bm/beach/ .

I'll be taking fire photos starting at about 7:15pm on Thursday and Friday evening, and going for a couple hours or so. This is a good time to take photos and corresponds to a lull in the crowds at Fire Drums, with most folks out eating dinner, so we can take photos without getting in the way or distracting dancers in the main circle with flashes. I'll be using portable flash/lightboxes and will be located either along the main fire play area or at the amphitheatre. I might do it on Saturday and at other times as well, but that depends on the state of the crowds, and I want to get some fire dancing in myself.
