I'm looking for Beth, who may have gone by "beast".
She is possibly connected with either Dan the Watermelon Man, or Jessica, the ribbon-haired devil-stick juggler, who were both enthusiastically there to support and watch Beth's first fire-poi-dance. I cannot find any of the three here.

Mon, May 4, 2009 - 11:41 AMJessica Nielson here on tribe (and facebook and myspace) ... damn glad to hang out with all of you ... great vibes, great energy, and most importantly GREAT PEOPLE. I feel refreshed and have this amazing buzz about me now. I want to walk around and hug everyone I see (though I think that would weird out some people here in Irvine, but I might do it anyway, already have to a few people).
I feel like skipping and prancing and doing cartwheels. I am so happy I got to go this year, even with the rain and mud, it was superdupercalifragalisticespialidocious. In some ways it was great because we all got to huddle together in the lodge to get out of the rain, and then magically it would clear up for the fire at night, and even being at the fire pits while it was raining was splendid.
I am running out of words in my vocabulary that express joy, greatness, happiness, amazing, wonderful, splendidness. Know any other words to use?

Im pretty sure my brain is going to be filled with geometric shapes for the next few months after taking flowers and antispin classes back to back! Thanks Zan and Ima!! Amazing Classes... but as for the actual point of this thread.. im still rebooting so cant even begin to think of the names of all the amazing people that i met over the weekend.. from sprite and all the cool people from san diego i hadnt even met before :) to the amazing people that helped me out in any of the classes where i just couldnt wrap my mind around the concepts and were able to help me out (uhh.. partner poi :) plane bending, stars and flowers, etc..lol) to just all the completely awesome people i chatted with here and there!

Wed, May 6, 2009 - 5:11 PMA bit warmer! This was the warmest FireDrums on record (in my unofficial opinion)! I didn't have to break out the gloves or the sherpa hat even once. :) And I didn't feel like my life was in danger when I stepped away from the bonfires to grab some sleep. I'm just hoping for drier and less muddy next year. -

Wed, May 6, 2009 - 5:21 PMThursday night was pretty cold, but the other nights were actually quite nice. Even though I was soaking wet, it actually kept me kinda warm since there wasn't too much wind. I think all the cloud cover and all our crazy warm loving energy kept in the warmth and kept the wonderful vibes from escaping and just raining back down on all of us to make us feel even more great energy (was that too hippy??)

I think my brain is in complete overload mode from this weekend but hopefully some of the stuff I saw from you and all the other staff spinners will stick. I had been leaning towards staff/double staff as my preferred toy, but this weekend sealed it for me. It just seems like the staff speaks to me and when I listen good things happen. :). Anyhow sorry for the tangent. See you and bianca next year.
