PLEASE READ THESE TOPICS BELOW ! ! THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT ! !
Just 2 more days and this looks like we'll have the most awesome gathering yet. We have a lot of people joining in helping organize workshops , greeters, our new web site and Forum, firewood, Rangers and much more. But there's still some things we could use help with so PLEASE READ these topics;
1) If there's anyone with paramedic, EMT, nursing or any kind of first aid knowledge, please contact me personally here or at sky@firedrums.org. You'll get a free pass or refund if you've already bought one and we can work out addition compensation for a little help.
2) Fire Safety; WE NEED EVERYONE TO VERY AWARE AT ALL TIMES that this is a mixed gathering. The drummers and other 'non fire arts' friends and even some fire artist themselves may not be as aware of the safety procedures many of us more familiar assume will be followed automatically.
Please keep a watchful eye on everyone and help us all make this a safe and 'issue free' weekend.
3) Fire Extinguishers, Duvatine, Spin-out Buckets; Please bring what you can and be sure to label them with your name. We can always use more Firer Extinguishers.
4) "LNT" ~ Leave No Trace; We're trying to keep the cost down as much as possible and not have to hire extra people like a clean up crew. So it is imperative that we take out everything we bring, including trash and recycling.
AND SMOKERS ~ PLEASE, , your cigarette butts are trash too. Stomping them into the ground for the next person walking by to kick up and then someone else having to pick up is way unkool. PLEASE ~ PLEASE ~ PLEASE ~ "LNT" ~ LEAVE NO TRACE ~ "PERIOD"
5) We'd like to hang out for as long as possible Sunday afternoon, but when it's time to leave, we need to be cleaned up and packed up so we can be out well before dark. After our community breakfast, we'll be organizing a clean up crew and making sure the lodge and campgrounds are at least as clean as when we arrived. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT IF WE ARE TO CONTINUE USING THIS WONDERFUL CAMP. After we've cleaned up and packed up, we can spin, drum, hang out, take in the warmth and enjoy the wonderful energy of the weekend.
6) The gatherings are getting better in many ways and it is purely because we have a wonderful crew of people who have offered their time and energy to help organize and coordinate. My very deep and eternal thanx to everyone who has been and continues to be a part of FireDrums. It is the collective giving and sharing of knowledge and positive energy that makes this gathering a very special and truly unique life long memory. PLEASE HELP US ALL BY SPREADING THE WORD THRU OUT THE WEEKEND ABOUT THESE TOPICS ABOVE

Re: NEED 2 READ ~ VERY IMPORTANT!!
Tue, May 1, 2007 - 9:58 AMCamped next to the DNA posse this weekend and a couple of them said they're coming, but I can't remember names. Do you have Tribe names or contact info. It would be great if you could send them a message and 'spark a flame' with them about the gathering.

Re: NEED 2 READ ~ VERY IMPORTANT!!
Tue, May 1, 2007 - 12:36 PMI called DnA too. They are not on tribe much due to funker ER and EMT hours. They would be perfect for the task too!
We'll spread the words Sky! Thanks for all of your hard work on this!
