This will be my first time to Fire Drums, and California for that matter. I'm a member of Incendium Arts Fire Troupe in Cincinnati, along with Grimm. Grimm said there could "possibly" be room for my boyfriend Brandon and I to stay where he would be staying, which was enough for us to go ahead and buy the plane and event tickets. We are so excited about this event it's unreal!! Being surrounded by all that insane talent! Unfortunately, Theres no more room where Grimm is staying and I cannot afford a hotel. We all fly in and leave on the same flight plan. Tuesday to Tuesday. That leaves 4 nights with nowhere for Brandon and I to stay. Can anyone from the area please throw some suggestions on what I can do? that would be amazing. Thank you so much!

Thu, April 10, 2008 - 11:45 PMThere are other beaches you can camp out on if your willing to ruff it. You can also have a 24 hour pass i have. You can use their showers and stuff. -

Fri, April 11, 2008 - 3:20 PMOur flight is scheduled to arrive at 3:54pm in Oakland on Tuesday the 29 then we leave on Tuesday the 6th at 6pm. Grimm, Brandon and I all are on those same flights. then I believe we are all getting a ride to the Vulcan, but grimm is the only one that can stay there. Any help or suggestions you can throw my way that would be awesome. thank you for replying!!! -

Fri, April 11, 2008 - 9:11 PMfyi: the bart shuttle is not really a big help. If I remember correctly, it's 3 bucks to get the shuttle, and 2 bucks to go one damn stop on bart. 4pm shouldn't be hard to find someone random from the fire community willing to pick you up from the airport.
If I have the day off, I'll totally do it. The airport shuttle is lame.

Sat, April 12, 2008 - 8:05 PMHi everyone! I'm not sure who I should talk to, but I'm trying to find a place to crash or camp or something after I fly into San Francisco as well. This is going to be my first FireDrums (flying in from GA) and I'm really excited to meet so many talented spinners and have the opportunity to learn so much. I've played percussion for about 12 years or so, and I had been spinning -at first glowsticks then poi- for like a year before I picked up fire poi about 9 months ago. I teach percussion and I've just started teaching poi for fun, and I also play around with devil sticks and staff a little. I definitely need a ride to and from FD from San Fran and I was wondering who I should ask about the possibility of meeting up with the Vulcan crew to see if they have any space? Anyone else willing to let a desperate wandering drum tapping poi spinning gas paying new friend tag along or crash on the couch/floor for a night? -

I've been waiting on finalizing my flight plans until I made sure I had a place to stay - I was thinking tuesday to tuesday most likely, but I'll know for sure in the next day or two.
