Anyone know if there is any cheap hotel Accomodations near Firedrums? Coming out on Business that week and don't want to lug all my camping gear from Austin if I don't have to. I did a search a only came up with one place. Merrybrook lodge. I doubt I'll do much other than grab a few hours sleep and shower there but would be nice to have a placed booked in case of bad weather etc.

You are down a gravel road so far that seems to never end.
I live probably the closes of anyone there and still a 45 min drive.
I can bring and extra tent and stuff if you want.
And as far as the weather goes, it will be nice.
This is paradise we are talking about. -

Tue, April 14, 2009 - 8:16 AMyeah i would bring something to share, and make some friends. If there's bad weather it shouldn't be difficult to locate a place to seek refuge.
There are showers on site already.
