My daughter Christina Powers was going up to your event on May 1st through the 4th and was going to meet me in Ventura on the 5th.
I have not been able to reach her by phone and she has not called, I am seriously concerned that something bad has happened to her.
Please contact me right away if anyone has seen her or knows of her.
Christina is 23 years old, olive skin, hazel green eyes, light brown hair, 5'5" about 120lbs.
Please let me know if anyone has seen her I am very worried.
If I do not hear back soon I will be contacting hospitals, and the police department for help.

I just talked to the mom and I wanted to put a couple of names out there in case anyone recognizes them so they can call her with any additional details.
Christina was reportedly staying with a friend named Noah in San Francisco. Her ride share and camping friend was possibly named Maria. Both girls were from Maui. Christina was headed for Ventura so I would like to ask this message to be passed on the LA fire folks in case she may have hopped a ride down to SoCal.

Everybody is required to check in at the Greeter's Station prior to entry in to the event. First thing to do is to check with the organizers (start with Sky who moderates this group) to confirm that she checked in. Most of us have nicknames in this community and hopefully you know her's. Also, the picture posted is very grainy...hopefully you have a more clear one. Does she have a Tribe.net profile? You should start by going through this trube's membership roster as that would be the likely place to find such. Usually these members have a multitude of friends and that is the obvious place to put out a shout-out for your daughter.

Wed, May 7, 2008 - 1:43 PMHey All ~ I tracked down Christina Powers--she was camping next to me with her friends from Hawaii. They left early to go to another festival. She's fine and hanging out with her friends Maria and Dana somewhere. She just had her phone off, and was completely "un-plugged."
Told her to contact her mother immediately. And she will...
So alls well that ends well!
