Starting a similar rideshare thread. Personally, I fly in at 9:20 on thursday morning and my flight leaves back home at 6:05 pm Sunday. Would love to carpool and cover gas charges for someone local. If that doesn't work out, I'd be willing to go in with a couple of people who are flying in and suck it up to rent a car.

Tue, March 31, 2009 - 2:15 PMMy thoughts on the rental car is a mini-van with 5 folks plus gear = probably snug, but about $50 per person for Thursday-Sunday plus gas. Probably cheaper over-all compared to a truck/sedan. Anybody?

Sorry about this thread continuing to rear its head, but my inner planner is writhing inside at being stuck in limbo land when all my other ducks are in row to get me to this most wonderful of events.

I am flying in to SFO late Thursday nite. I'd also like to look for rides rather than rent a car but if it comes down to it, I'll rent rather than be super stressed out. I can relate to your dilemma.
I will stay in SF Thurs night then head down about 9AM Friday to FD, staying through Sunday. Let's keep in touch on arrival/departure times, etc.
Perhaps if you get a ride on Thurs nite from the airport, and I have a car I can take you back on Sunday. I think I'd like to take off about noon Sunday. -
